This just in from the new owner of the BaT Exclusive Godden Weslake flat track racer we featured a couple months back:
“I’m a huge fan of BaT, and it is the first thing I read each morning when I wake up. I’ve lusted after Unimogs, the odd Borgward, and the occasional race-converted E-type. However, I’ve managed to restrain myself, as I have a shop full of projects, and I’ve pushed my lovely wife pretty far already with the Russian Hydrofoil.
I’ve been restoring a number of items to serve as cool office decorations for a new building I’m working on – I recently finished a 1961 Ducati 250 Race Bike, and am working on a Swift DB4 Formula Atlantic car. When I saw the Godden Flat Track bike on BaT, it was love at first sight. I knew it would fit the raw aesthetic I was attempting to create for the office, and reached out immediately. The seller was super helpful, responsive, and the bike was exactly as represented on BaT.
I’m thrilled with the purchase, and think the addition of bikes make your offering that much more irresistible. I hope to see many more cycles being featured. Keep up the great work!
Respectfully,
Adam G.

- Congratulations on a great purchase, Adam. The no brakes and direct drive still fires us up! And as for more bikes, welcome to Throttle Yard! And the rest of you, be sure to check out the free ~6MB desktop wallpaper images of Adams lovely Godden and Ducati bikes at the links below. Enjoy! -TY

Congratulations on the Flat Tracker. What a beautiful machine. I lusted over it when I first saw it, and seeing as it is still winter here, I couldn’t help but picture it on spikes.
The bikes are gorgeous, of course, but you’re burying the lede: where can we see the Russian hydrofoil?
More correctly called a speedway bike to avoid confusing with big harleys that race the mile flat tracks such as Springfield Mile, etc. These race on eighth mile tracks for only like 4 laps and are a blast to watch. Speedway is much bigger in the UK than it ever was here. Congrats on new site!
What a pair Adam! respects.
Beautiful bikes! And when do we get to see the office/building? That’ll be neat…
That Duck is beautiful!

Here’s a photo doc of this buyer’s ‘Russian hydrofoil’ resto-I’ll let his identity remain private, but he’s definitely a man of many interests:

Forgot to offer congrats and thanks to BaT for the new moto-specific site–great stuff.
