  1. There a few scratches on the rear wheel of the 250. That just put me out of the bidding right there…

What an incredible listing. It doesn’t look like the 370 has ever been ridden before, and the other two aren’t too far behind in the perfect department. Either they really didn’t get ridden – which would be a shame as the 250 that year was a ton of fun to ride – or the guy just did a fabulous job of restoring them. The fuel lines are even correct.

    Wow – I’m still shaking my head…

  2. Triple WOW! It’s rare to see MX bikes from that vintage in such good shape. But 3 in the lineup is just flabbergasting. I don’t think they are restos. But if they are, I agree, a fantastic job.

If I bought them, it would be mind bending torment! Do I ride them? Let them sit and just drool at them in the garage? Maybe a quick putt around the drive way. I don’t think I could bring myself to slog that 370 into the mud, but I would love to!!

That being said. You would defiantly have some gawkers, if you rolled up to a vintage MX race with those bikes in the trailer!

  3. Great bikes John, however you’re wrong about it being the first factory MXer with laydown shocks. My 1975 Husky 250 had that honor. And your friend Scott Davis in CA. doesn’t happen to play guitar, does he?

  4. A fantastic lineup, but an equally fantastic dearth of real info concerning the actual bikes. Still, I can imagine trailering these to a SX or MX venue, paying R. De Coster ‘whatever it costs’ to autograph each tank, and enjoying these as personal museum pieces until the kids have an estate sale. Luck to all.

  5. I was rideing the 250 honda elsiore in 1976 and it was fast, but when my cousin bought the new 125cc with the 6 speed, well it cleaned my clock!!!I rode a 250 suzki once and never had the nerve to climb on the 370, thanks to the seller and to B A T / Throttle Yard for shareing collection in a time capsule!!

  6. What, no RM80 & RM100 for a full-house? Pass.

But seriously, this woulda been my high school wet dream. I probably couldn’t have really imagined the idea of somebody actually owning all three of these. The RM ruled the Roost (heh heh roost get it…) in that era before the YZ’s caught up…

BITD actually not many people had the 370 – the 125/250′s were kicking ass but the big brother wasn’t real common.

Yea, no full house, I owned a 1976 RM100 and there was also an 80cc bike that year.

Wonderfull to see the bikes though, brings back great memories.

  8. Definitely a cool set of bikes.

Okay Esconzaga, I’ll bite. Roost? Roostertails?

  9. wow, awesome bikes
what a sweet sound and smell this trio would make all running at the same time!!
reminds me as a kid drooling over the brochures and calling and probably annoying the heck out of the local dealers secretary every week or two asking the price on the rm125,not that i had any money or place to ride it,just wanted one then and after seeing these want one again

would love to have the 250 on the back bumper of my motorhome for all those off road adventures
