This estate sale will be liquidating a very interesting car and motorcycle collection as well as memorabilia, tractors, and tools on June 25th in Norwood, Massachusetts. The bikes included are vintage Ducati, Norton, and Velocette models as well as 80′s and 90′s sport bikes. A particular stand-outs is the 13-mile 1990 Honda RC30. Check out the full auction listing here via J.Wood & Associates.
Even with the smattering of more interesting and powerful bikes above, one of our favorites has to be the Yamaha TZ250 below. Something about full fairings and body work with spoke wheels has us on board.

RC30; VFR400; 1982 Katana… I’ll be there. Thanks BaT/TY!
What John said, plus the 900 supersport, the Norton Commando and the Veloctte.
This guy had very good taste in bikes, a little bit less so in cars, though that mid-70′s sportscoach should have a 429 under the hood.
Don’t miss the looks-brand-new Yamaha 125 stuck in the tractor section.
Does one need to be there to participate? Man, that’s far from Atlanta…
That Guzzi Sport and of course that Katana (with the correct saddle also!) call to me.
The cars too! I love Merkurs and and that Jensen? That’s a lot of fun car right there. I wonder what the Merkurs will go for?
Judging by his bike collection, we may have been brothers separated at birth… I’ve owned just about one of each of those over my lifetime (and would likely still have them all if I had the space.)
The car collection has some potentially neat daily drivers as long as the East Coast Rust Monster hasn’t taken it’s toll… I’d love to have that TE wagon or one of the 5-series, and I bet they go for reasonable money.
Plus, my dad is big into tractors, so I better go check my airline miles… how long does it take to drive back to California?
“1882 Suzuki Katana in mint condition”
Wow! An Katana from that year must be worth some serious coin.
That Honda RC30 is the star of the show. The GSXR Limited is a real good investment also, just don’t fry the clutch while riding her.
Looks like I know we’re I’ll be on June 25th – that 77 Duc SS looks very enticing.
RC30, Velocette, Norton Dunstall Commando, and yes, the Puch Monza (because my parents wouldn’t let me have a Puch Magnum MkII like my friend’s when I was a kid); for me. The TZ25o and Suzuki T20 are nice too.
So many great motorcycles, so little money. Why wasn’t I born rich instead of handsome?
I would like to see what the 900SS sells for, I sold mine for $6000
twenty five years ago. Mine had gold mags.

Oakland, Ca.
I hope to be there too!
To Steve from Orange.
It could take a while to drive back to California, especially if your dad only buys one of the tractors!
Chas
Just a note on the TZ250, this is a G model and they are probably the last pick for early TZ’s. The service intervals for pistons are less than 100 miles so even as a bit of track day fun you’re looking at having to spend $350-$400 on parts for everyday you run the bike. I also seem to remeber an issue with the barrels as well, which at 1000-1200 bucks are a bit dear. Now the chassis was an improvement over the F model which tended to chatter the front end if pushed really hard………………….if the price is right I’d grab it on hunt for a TZ350 top end.
Results for some of the more interesting bikes there:
1973 Moto Guzzi V7: $9,500
1990 Honda RC30: $27,000 (ca. 13 miles and perfect condition)
1986 Suzuki GXSR750LE: $11,500 (the bike was used but in generally good condition)
1968 Velocette Thruxton: $10,000 (missing the fairing, but probably the deal of the auction)
1971 Benelli Tornado: $4,700
1971 Norton Commando: $7,600 (very nice example)
1988 Cagiva Alazzurra: $3,700 (nice example of an optimistically mediocre 80′s Italian bike)
1975 Honda 350 Four: $2,900
Yamaha TZ250: 7,100 (reported to be a fresh restoration)
Honda VRF400R: $7,100 (not a typo! Hope the new owner really, really wanted this one because it was in so-so condition, parts are impossible to find in the US, and there was no key so the condition of the tank will be a surprise as well as if it even runs)
1977 Ducati 900 SS: $22,500 (I might be off by $1,00 on that price as someone was asking me a question when the hammer fell)
1982 Suzuki Katana: $5,000 (advertised as being in mint condition but wasn’t close to mint. Average at best: cracked/damaged plastic; scratched tank with globbed-on touch up paint; faded seat; etc.)
